Sails Restaurant

You know those places you always walk past and think to yourself, ‘I should really go there one day’. Sails Restaurant was always that place for me in Robe. Most of our visits are for a quick weekend to town, catching up with family and friends, so i just had not made it there yet. On our last visit to town, this thankfully changed! I had been thinking about it all week, and made a booking for the Saturday night, which i’m glad i did, as there were 3 separate sittings to choose from. It’s so great to hear when a little restaurant in a small town has the reputation to offer three sittings on a Saturday evening, this was a good sign.

Sails Restaurant

Saturday evening finally rolled around, and after a lift into town by Fast Freddy’s minivan service from Villa Malmo, we sat down to enjoy our meal at Sails. And that we did. I have to say that this was some of the best food i have had in a long time, matched with brilliant service by the staff.

Everything from my entree of the Lobster Thermidor Pie, to the perfectly cooked steak topped with prawns and the desserts…oh the desserts…..

I was so impressed with the quality of the food, and the presentation. This little restaurant really does punch above its weight, and it is rewarded for this by being a destination for both visitors and locals alike.

Next time you are in Robe, I recommend making a booking at Sails for a special night out.
