Robe has so much to offer. Pubs, cafes, restaurants, and great shopping.
For a small town Robe has a huge choice when it comes to eating out.
Union Cafe is also a great cafe just down the street. They have a large outdoor area which is great for people watching. They have a solid menu which will keep you happy.
No. 4 Cafe has taken over the same location previously occupied by the Providore. Specialising in breakfast, its a lovely place to enjoy a sunny morning.
The Bookshop is not really a cafe as such, however they serve local coffee, wine and beer as well as sandwiches and cheese platters. You can sit out in the garden and soak up the sun, protected from the wind. I really love this place.
Robe Hotel is a great country pub. They offer all the traditional staples like chicken parmigiana and steaks, as well as a good selection of seafood. It’s really family friendly with an undercover play area for the kids.
Robe Mobil Service Station…. really you ask? Oh yes! It has been recently taken over by new owners who have started serving takeaway food. Their hamburger with the lot is the best I’ve tasted in years, and it’s under ten dollars!!! The chips with chicken salt are amazing too!
Mahalia Coffee is a great coffee shop and they do a couple of cakes as well. It is the headquarters of Mahalia Coffee where you can buy all of their different varieties, as well as teas. It is the best coffee!! Also the now have a large outdoor area which connects to the playground next door.
Don’s Kitchen is a Malaysian and Chinese restaurant in Robe. Their specialty is Malaysian, so if you want to be wowed, order some to the traditional curries. The Chinese is also delicious. We are so luck to have a place as good as is in town.
The Pizza Project has great gourmet pizzas. It’s not your domino’s or Pizza Hut style, great to dine in or get take away.
Other places In town to eat are
Sails Restaurant – best restaurant in town and it has the awards to prove it (I just haven’t been yet).
Pollys Fish and Chips at the marina has great fresh fish and chips.
